Tanzania is characterized by fabulous wildlife with highly varied terrain from Kilimanjoro and the accessible parks of Northern Tanzania, including the
migration on the Serengeti Plain to remote parks such as Selous,
Ruaha, and Katavi.
Good all year around, however, the long rains April and May
make some roads impassible in parks and some camps and lodges
will close during this time. If camps are open this can be
a wonderful time to go because everything is green and lush. The
short rains in late November and early December are less
problematic.
The Serengeti migration is best viewed in the Ndutu area
from Nov - April. Jun - Oct the migration is best seen in
the Northern Serengeti or the extension into Masai Mara.
