LODGE |

The
luxury thatched Benguerra Lodge is the destination for exclusivity and
tranquility in a remote setting. Merged into a natural milkwood
forest
bordering Benguerra Bay and encircled by silver beaches, coral reefs
and
turquoise seas, the lodge is flanked by secluded chalets built on
stilts
which cater for 26 guests. Fresh seafood and exotic Portuguese dishes
are
served with personal attention. A mosaic of forest, savannah and
wetland
ecosystems sustains a diverse population of fauna and flora in this
idyllic
island getaway.
The main lodge building comprising the lounge, dining room and patio area is flanked by thirteen comfortable thatched chalets. On the large patio, guests can enjoy a cocktail and sit back after the day's events. The chalets, built on stilts, with reed walls and wooden floors, merge within the surrounding indigenous Acacia and Natal Mahogany forest. However, each chalet is not more than 20 meters from the beach and each has a veranda/balcony looking out to sea with en-suite bathroom and shower. Meals
are relaxed affairs served in different settings and always with
unsurpassed
personal attention consisting of fresh seafood and exotic Portuguese
dishes.
Activities include snorkelling, scuba diving, dhow cruisng, deep sea fishing, saltwater fly fishing, bird watching, and picniking on deserted beaches in solitude and serenity. |
