Chobe Chilwero borders Chobe National Park, overlooking the
Chobe River just upstream from its confluence with the Zambezi.
This is home to the world's largest remaining population of
elephants, and wildlife viewing on the Chobe River is an
unforgettable experience.
This is an incredibly luxurious lodge with 15 guest
cottages, as well as the only full spa on the Botswana safari
circuit
Chobe is renowned for its abundance of elephants and dramatic
sable and roan antelopes with their impressive horns. Sitatungas
– antelope with splayed feet to help them run in swamps – are
often seen here, as are the wild dog and lion that prey upon
them.
With only five opulent suites, Baines' Camp is one of the smallest
and most intimate camps in the Okavango area. Located on a huge
private concession bordering the Moremi Game Reserve it is home to some
of the most spectacular wildlife on Earth.
The Camp is set in a grove of trees, and surrounded by papyrus beds.
There is a communal swimming pool, and the wide wooden deck that
surrounds the main dining and sitting room is the ideal place to relax
while observing the varied wildlife present here.
The Elephant experience is a unique extra activity, where you
walk in the bush with three semi-habituated elephants,
Jabu, Thembi and Morula who were orphaned nearby and adopted.
Stanley's is a classic tented camp with just eight tents built
around an imposing sausage tree on a private concession overlooking the
Okavango floodplains.
This intimate camp is gathered around a large sitting and dining
area which affords magnificent views over the floodplains of the
Okavango Delta. Each canvas tent is individually designed and furnished
with African antiques, carved wooden beds, woven reed mats, high quality
bed linen and traditional ceiling fans. Large wooden decks provide
private areas for guests to relax.
Activities include 4x4 safaris, walking safaris, mokoros, and you
can partake of the elephant experience at the nearby Baine's Camp.
