Aswan - Abu Simbel
Day 1 |
Arrival in Aswan, lunch
on board. Visit Kalabsha temple with is Pharaonic aspect, remodelled
into the Greco-Roman style and dedicated to the God Mandoulis. Viist
the hemi-speos of Beit El Waly, erectecd by Ramses II. Also visit
Klosk Kertassi, erected to the Godddess Isis. |
Day 2 |
Sail to Wadi el Seboua |
Day 3 |
Morning visit to Wadi el
Seboua temple dedicated by Ramses II to Amon, Ra and Ra Harmakis.
The temple of Dakka, dedicated to the god Thot of divine wisdom, lord of
items and science, master of literature. Visit the Greco Roman temple
of Mharakka, Sail to Amada. Visit the temple of Amada from the xvii
dynasty built during the reign of Thotomsis III and Thotomsis IV.
Also visit the hemi-spedos Od Derr, dedicated by Ramses II to the rising
sun. Finally visiit the tomb of Penout, viceroy of Nubia. Sail
to Kasr Ibrim. |
Day 4 |
Morning visit to the citadel
of Kasr Ibrim, sole vestige of the distant past of Nubia in its original
location. Explanation is done from the sundeck of th ship as entrance
to the site is not permitted. Sail to Abu Simbel and after lunch
visit the temples to Ramses II and Nefertiti. Candlelight dinner
overlooking the Abu Simbel temples when weather permits. Overnight
on board |

Possibility for a second
visit to the tdemples to watch the spectacular sunrise at Abu Simbel temples. |

Abu Simbel - Aswan
Day 1 |
Arrival in Abu Simbel, lunch
on board. Visit Abu Simbel temples to Ramses II and Nefertiti.
Cocktails will be served in front of the temples followed by a candlelight
dinner on board overlooking the temples. |
Day 2 |
Early morning visit to the
temples to enjoy the spectacular sunrise. Sail to Kasr Ibrim during
breakfast and then viist to Kasr Ibrim. During the pharaonic period
this hill was dominated by a cathedral of which we can still admire some
Roman arches. Lunch will be served while sailing to the temple of
Amada from the xvii dynasty built during the reign of Thotomsis III and
Thotomsis IV. Also visit the hemi-spedos Od Derr, dedicated by Ramses
II to the rising sun. Finally visiit the tomb of Penout, viceroy
of Nubia. |
Day 3 |
